About Navigio Impact
Navigio engages in long-term commitments to improving society both through our transparent business model and organisational culture, but also by supporting charitable foundations that make direct positive impacts on their communities through their honourable work.
Our ambition for these organisations is to help them unleash their full potential by providing financial and organisational support.
How it all started
Our school in Cameroon
Over ten years ago, Navigio initiated the construction of a Navigio Academy school in the village Bandja in Cameroon. Thanks to Navigio’s clients, we have been able to give up to 500 students, mainly girls and young mothers, access to education and, therefore, the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families. In addition, we have provided the school with a clean water source which now supplies the entire village.
Where we are today
Our non-profit organisations
In 2022, we increased our efforts with the official formation of “Navigio Impact”, our delegation responsible for driving our CSR initiatives. Since then, we have been a proud partner of two non-profit organizations—Wildhood Foundation and Nyimusa Foundation. Navigio is also in contact with local charity foundations in both Stockholm and Oslo, with plans to expand our efforts into additional local longterm initiatives.
Wildhood Foundation
Founded in 2016, Wildhood Foundation raises funds to support and scale effective conservation of threatened species and ecosystems in Africa. One of the main projects is “Akashinga”, the world’s first all-female ranger troup.
Wildhood supports the protection of over three million hectares of wilderness in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique and has helped 90% downturn in elephant poaching. The work now employs 274 female rangers and benefits more than 1800 locals. Thanks to Wildhood’s educational scholarships, 219 children can attend school in 2023.
Nyimusa Foundation
Navigio is also a proud main partner of Nyimusa Foundation, a registered NGO based in Uganda. Through their services, Nyimusa Foundation helps better the lives of orphans and marginalised children by providing safe housing, clean water sources, food, education, healthcare services and psychosocial support. Today, Nyimusa supports over 80 children through their programs.
